Mid-Year Freak Out

I saw this tag going around the blogosphere so I thought I'd join in. When I first read the prompts, some of them had an answer immediately! The book would pop in my head very quick. For others, it took a while to figure out and then, more options would pop in my head. Trying to tone it down was hard! It's hard to just pick one!

Best Book You've Read So Far In 2019

If you didn't know, I declared Marriage for One as my TOP-FAVE of 2019! I've never done this. I never name a book as a top novel. But this one deserves all the awards in the world! I highly recommend it!
Fix Her Up was my first Tessa Bailey novel and I loved it so much! I loved Georgie and her personality and I couldn't get Travis out of my mind!

Best Sequel You've Read So Far In 2019

Beautiful Stranger is hands-down my fave book by Christina Lauren for a lot of reasons. I needed this novel in my life. I could relate it to a lot.
The Failing Hours will forever be my fave Douchebag series book. Zeke Daniels is everything.
Stone Cold Touch and Every Last Breath were both amazing! I still can't believe I waited so long to read this series. I finally did and I can officially say I'm a major fan of Roth and Bambi and Cayman!

A New Release You Haven't Read Yet But Want To

Becky, I promise I'll get to Red, White and Royal Blue soon! If anyone wants to buddy-read, let me know!
I need to catch up on Brigid Kemmerer's novels but Call It What You Want is one I need.
Same goes for Jenn Bennett. I need to catch up on all her novels but Serious Moonlight is taking top priority.

Most Anticipated Release for the Second Half of 2019

I recently discovered Full Disclosure and Saving Everest and both have my heart tightening just by the synopsis'. I know both will break my heart in the best way possible 😭
When I found out through Tracy that House of Salt and Sorrows was a retelling on the 12 dancing princess, my interest skyrocketed on this book and I need it yesterday!
Berkley is killing it with releases this year and Faker and The Bromance Book Club are high on my list.

Biggest Disappointment

I should seriously just give up on R.S. Grey. Her earlier novels were so amazing! And her recent work isn't cutting it for me. Everyone else praises her for the humor and I'm over here like *cricket cricket* Coldhearted Boss was supposed to be a hilarious enemies-to-lovers and I never found a hilarious scene (I did roll my eyes a lot) and the trope wasn't really there, either.
I was so looking forward to Making Up but I couldn't deal with the main character at all. Review for this one will be up on July 11.

Biggest Surprise

I don't really read M/M romances (or at least I used to not read them) but this duo changed my mind with Top Secret! I absolutely loved it!
I've known Sarah for a few years now but I never read her debut novel. When I read the synopsis for Under the Lies, I jumped at the chance to read it. To say Sarah surprised me in a major good way is an understatement! That book was amazing! The writing completely blew me away!

Favorite New-To-Me Author

Why have I never read these authors before?! Desperate Measures surprised me in the best of ways! I still think about this novel!
Fix Her Up was my first novel by Tessa and I loved her writing a lot!

Newest Fictional Crush

Ha! When I read this prompt, I started laughing like a maniac. This has been the year of fictional crushes so prepare yourselves for the incoming book boyfriends: Jack (Marriage for One), Roth (Dark Elements series), Zeke (The Failing Hours), Travis (Fix Her Up), Samson (The Right Swipe), Max (Beautiful Stranger), Theo (Well Suited)

Newest Favorite Character

Honestly, I have way too many from this year and I can't pick just one. My answer is basically from the books that are featured here :)

A Book That Made You Cry

Seriously, this book had me feeling all of the emotions!

A Book That Made You Happy

A lot of books that I read this year made me happy but these two came to mind as soon as I read this prompt. Fight or Flight had the best banter ever. And it features an Irish man! *heart eyes*
Petal Plucker was a laugh-out-loud rom-com that I loved a lot! I highly recommend this one!

Favorite Book-To-Movie Adaptation

I can't really put anything here since all the newest book-to-movie adaptations, I haven't read the book so I can't say anything.

Favorite Post You've Done This Year

I have a problem picking just one so here's my fave review I wrote and a discussion post!

Most Beautiful Book You've Bought This Year

Just look at these covers! *heart eyes*
