A single night with Meg and I’m willing to do anything to save her from Hades, the man holding her captive, victim to his every whim.

A bargain with the devil himself seems a small price to pay in order for Meg to go free… Until I learn that she’s exactly where she wants to be.

She’s Queen to Hades's King.

And I’m the fool that walked right into their trap.

The same fool who desires them both as much as I hate them. I can’t resist Meg’s touch—or stop from being drawn to Hades’s dark desires. By the time I realize just how deep a game he’s playing, it may be too late…

For all of us.
Once upon a time, a woman fell in love with a man. He wasn't a good man. Men never are, I've found. But this woman hadn't learned that hard lesson yet.

Meg has been by Hades side for years, but she hasn't felt his equal for a while. Something has caused a drift between them. What Meg doesn't know is Hades always thinks of her and of how to please her. So she wasn't expecting Hercules to be part of the deal to fix their relationship. What Hercules and Meg don't know is that Hades isn't only doing this for her, but for himself, because he wants revenge.

He is the only one who holds my leash. With Hades, there is no give and take. He dominates. I submit. The end.

I've been postponing this review for the longest time, mostly because I want to do this book justice and I know my review won't even come close, but I'll surely try my hardest.

Having read Desperate Measures and adoring it way more than I thought I would, I knew I was going to be in for a major treat with this one, and boy did Katee Robert delivered! There was so much love in this story that my heart was ready to explode! I met Hades and Meg in the first novel and I was enthralled by their relationship, especially by Meg. She's this defiant fireball you can't help but love, yet inside she's also vulnerable and wants Hades attention.

I love Hades. I love him so much I stay despite the tiny cuts he deals out with every conversation, unintentionally or not.

(Making a pause to say that I want to re-read this book already. I'm going through my highlighted quotes and it's making me read it all again!) Let me sob here in peace with this gloriousness (pretty sure that's not a word). I'm going to share another quote while I recover.

"You are everything I never knew I needed, love. A partner in every way. An equal in every way. You don't shy from my less savory traits. One could argue that you relish them.

I just sighed out loud while reading this. It's impossible not to, knowing all their background. When I met Hades, I couldn't see how I could ever love this man. Then getting to know him in this novel, I couldn't help but fall at this man's feet and let him do whatever he wanted with me (in my mind, of course). He's the type of guy who's so rough around the edges, the one you are warned to stay away from. I mean, he's the ruler of the underworld, for goodness sake. He controls everything.

Seeing him with Meg did something to me. Hades treasures her in so many ways. Outside of the bedroom, they are equal, running the underworld together, making decisions together. Inside the bedroom, Hades has all the control, but even then, he's always thinking of Meg, and how he can pleasure her or make her comfortable. So really, she's the one calling the shots, too. It's just so amazing to see!

She's the most priceless thing in my life, the one person I could never replace, not even if I searched the world over.

Now we have Hercules. He took one look at Meg and he was done. But neither realized the plans Hades had for Hercules in their relationship and for the business aspect. Even then, they all slowly came together in such a beautiful way. Normally, I enjoy these menage-a-trois stories just for the entertainment, not expecting anything else. But with Hades, Meg and Hercules, it went so much deeper than that (I'm realizing all the puns I'm making and I swear, I'm not trying to make them LOL).

I could fill those gaps for them, I could be the softness to their jagged edges.

Hercules totally brought that softness to the relationship. It made Hades notice things about Meg he hadn't before and vice versa. Hercules was ever the observer and sharing all the things that they needed to fix in order to move forward, since both were too stubborn to share what they were feeling. He was the light to their darkness.

These two people are broken halves to the same whole, and they're in danger of shattering because they don't talk.

What I found so beautiful was how these three learned to lean on one another. Plus, I just LOVED how Hades loved Hercules. He loved Meg in his own way, with all he had, but with Hercules it was such a tender type of love that I was melting over. Their relationship was just as important and as beautiful as Hades with Meg, and with Hercules and Meg. I'm telling you, all of three of them being together worked marvelously. This was definitely a story I never thought I would need, but now I can't imagine not having read this story or these characters.

"I don't know if this is the beginning of something new and wonderful--or the beginning of the end. But apparently we're taking this ride to its conclusion."

Overall, Learn Me Lesson is a love story of three people coming together to show a different and beautiful side of love that will leave you desperately wanting more, more, more. It's beautiful, it's scandalous, it's tantalizing, it's magestic, it's a breath of fresh air.
